Varna is the largest resort in the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, and the second largest city in Bulgaria, after the capital Sofia.
Varna International Airport is the third largest airport in Bulgaria, and is located only 10 km from the center of Varna.
This is the starting point for all resorts in the northern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast such as Golden Sands, Balchik and Albena.

Arrival in Varna – welcome dinner by the seaside
Arrival at Varna Airport and transfer to our hotel located by the seaside, in the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast.
Check in at the hotel, and if time permits we will take a guided tour of Varna city, famous for its Archaeological museum and the gold artefacts discovered accidentally in 1972. It is considered the world’s oldest worked gold, dated back to 4500 BC. Being a Roman town, the Romans built there Odessos Roman baths. Visit the ruins of the Odessos thermae, considered by size the fourth biggest in Europe. Varna has also a great collection of different monuments, also worth attending the town’s Cathedral church of Assumption of Mary, viewing Varna’s stunning architecture from the 19-20-th centuries, the Ethnographical Museum, the Marine Gardens, and the Naval Museum.
In the evening we will enjoy a welcome dinner in an elegant Sea terrace restaurant located next to the Central beach of Varna, offering spectacular sea views. The special menu will include fresh seafood and Bulgarian wines.
Sailing in the Black Sea and BBQ Dinner on the beach
Full day sailing in the Black Sea, passing by numerous coves and inlets. On board we will enjoy food, drinks and music, dancing and swimming.
Dinner tonight will be a BBQ on a small beach area. Overnight in Varna.
Off Road jeep Safari
Another full day adventure, driving old off road jeeps, through a picturesque forest reserve , crossing the river, and reaching Bulgarian villages, with panoramas of the Golden Sands and Varna. Lunch today will be a picnic in the village, with traditional food and local rakia.
Afternoon return to Varna, for another dinner in a selected restaurant by the sea, and overnight.
Balchik Botanic Garden and Golfing Afternoon
This morning we enjoy a picturesque journey along the coast to Kaliakra Cape – a natural phenomenon and a historic place, tour of the ruins of the medieval fortress and a photo break. Continue to the town of Balchik for a visit to the Botanical Gardens and the summer residence of the Romanian Queen Maria.
Further we transfer to the Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort, where we enjoy lunch at the seafood grill restaurant, with panoramic views of the sea, before a fun golfing afternoon.
Thracian Cliffs is the number 1 ranked course in Bulgaria, designed by Gary Player and Host of the Volvo World Match Play Championship in 2013, won by Graeme McDowell. The golf course covers 85 hectares of truly beautiful cliff-side and it has been sculptured to fit perfectly into this area creating one of the most wonderful golfing experiences. Sea views are in abundance and from every hole there is a stunning view of the cliff-side and the Black Sea coast.
Those who are not willing to get engaged in golfing, can spend time in the beach, take a cocktail by the seaside, or enjoy a luxurious spa treatment.
