A 4 Days incentive trip in Bulgaria, with all the overnights in the capital city Sofia, with daily activities that will permit us to explore the local lifestyle through authentic experiences, such as a communist flat, a cooking class, folk show performance, raki tasting and a workshop on handmade cosmetics with the famous Bulgarian rose oil.

Arrival Sofia – Folkshow welcome dinner – Nightlife in Sofia
Arrival at Sofia Airport and transfer to the hotel in the city center. Free time to relax from the flight and get ready for the dinner. Welcome dinner in a local restaurant with degustation of traditional menu and wines, and live folk show performance, where we can learn some steps from the typical Bulgarian dance. After dinner, we can continue the evening through the pubs and clubs of the city.
Sofia Communist city tour, with retro cars and visit to the Red Flat – Cooking Class
This morning we turn back time and explore the communist period in Bulgaria, through a guided tour around Sofia with old Lada cars. We will pass through monumental buildings of the ex Communist party, the Presidency and the Council of ministers, emblematic buildings from the 70’s and 80’s like the Central railway station, the National Palace of Culture ect. Further we enter the Red Flat, an authentic 80’s home of an average family of that period. We will learn more how a usual day looked like in a local Bulgarian family, during the Cold War.
We enjoy lunch in the city, before transferring to a local culinary school. Here we will have the opportunity to learn a traditional Bulgarian dish, with one of the best chefs in the country.
The cooking experience can be turned into a small competitions between groups, and of course will be combined with some local wine tasting.

Handmade cosmetics with Rose oil – Rakia Tasting
Rose oil is a product which has made Bulgaria famous. It is rich in substances whose unique beneficial effects on the body are highly appreciated. Owing to the quality of Bulgarian oil derived from roses, it is the most expensive rose oil the world over, and the predominant part of the production is exported.
In the morning we will have a workshop where we will learn how to make handmade cosmetics, using the rose oil and other organic ingredients. We can take some of the products with us!
Lunch in another selected local restaurant, before starting our fun afternoon activity – visiting local rakia bars and degustation of this strong Bulgarian drinks.
Rakia is the traditional drink of Bulgaria but also to all of the Balkan countries. It is a pure alcoholic beverage made by the distillation of fermented fruit. It has a high alcohol content varying between 40% and 95% alc. There are different types of rakia, all depending on what fruit it is made of (grapes, plums, apricots, pears, apples, cherries, figs, quinces). We enter different bars and combine the degustation with some snacks and salads. Overnight in Sofia.
Return flight
Morning in Sofia. If time permits we can visit Boyana Church locate a few km out of the center, and part of UNESCO heritage. Transfer to Sofia Airport for the return flight.
